LANDMARK - WESTERN

At Landmark Western, we have the courage to be different, the integrity to do what is right and strive for excellence in all parts of our business. We are part of a network that is double the size of all our competitors combined; ensuring our clients have access to the best deals, the most options and superior service.

Boyd and Mandy Curran of 'Talleyrand' Longreach partnered with Landmark in 2015, incorporating livestock sales, insurance, finance, wool and real estate in the Blackall, Longreach and Winton branches, as well as the Longreach merchandise. Despite the extremely dry seasons the region has suffered over the past few years, Boyd and his team have managed to turn the business into one of the most successful Landmark branches in the state. All business units have significantly increased turnover with a focus on getting the little things right and excellence in all parts of the business.

Boyd Curran grew up on a property at Capella in Central Queensland and married Mandy Pearson in 1992. Together they pioneered contact hay baling in the Barkly Tableland region of the NT, built Qld's most modern cattle spelling centre for live export in Mount Isa, supplied yard cable to most of the feedlots in Qld and purchased Talleyrand at Longreach in 2001. Boyd is a current Director of the QRU, a former Qld Country RU President and former captain of the Qld Country team.

Hannah Windsor began working for Landmark Western in January 2018 with the aim of becoming a leading agent specialising in livestock. Filling administration and merchandise roles as part of the learning process for the first half of 2018 Hannah has transitioned into livestock and brings enthusiasm, extensive livestock knowledge and great integrity to the role. Hannah's family have owned a number of cattle and cropping properties, a sugar cane farm in the Pioneer Valley and now call 'Innerdale'; a cattle enterprise at Blackall, home. This upbringing has helped Hannah to have a broadened understanding of the agricultural industry she loves. Her passion for livestock and determination to excel in a male dominated profession drives her to go above and beyond for her clients.

Nick Byrnes, originally from Tamworth in New South Wales joined the team in December 2017 after managing an Athlete's Foot store based on the Gold Coast. Nick has worked on both Anthony Lagoon and Eva Downs stations in the Northern Territory. These experiences have given Nick a working knowledge for the land, an understanding of the challenges faced and excellent product knowledge. Nick is dedicated to providing great service for his clients with a sense of urgency to get the job done.

Remy Streeter joined the team in September 2018 as a livestock trainee. Remy hails from Marlborough, Central Queensland where she has grown up on a stud cattle property breeding high quality Brahman and Droughtmaster cattle. Competing in the local show circuit for many years and having the opportunity to judge several local shows, Remy has gained a great knowledge of both stud and commercial beef cattle. Remy also spent 6 months in North West Queensland working for AAco on Headingly station. Remy's love for agriculture and passion for stud cattle make her determined to become a great livestock agent.

This year, Landmark Western has introduced a retail section to their Longreach store, featuring popular Australian brands, Ringers Western and Circle L. A website and online store will be running in January 2019 enabling people from all regions to source quality goods, saddlery and clothing.

Landmark Western is striving for continuous improvement and will continue to challenge ourselves as to how we can provide superior service to our clients in all parts of their business.
