Meet the Agent Hannah Windsor

Hannah Windsor - Rural Property & Livestock - Longreach

Over the years, Hannah's family have owned a range of different country from a beef and cropping operation near Dingo, a sugar cane farm in the Pioneer Valley to the Blackall cattle station they now call home. This upbringing has helped Hannah to have a broadened appreciation and understanding of the agricultural industry she loves.

Hannah was about 15 when she realised she wanted to become a stock and station agent. She began working at her local Elders branch in the office and tailed the branch manager on as many livestock jobs as she could. Over the next 18 months or so, she applied for a livestock traineeship and numerous livestock positions around the country but was unsuccessful in all applications. The rejection calls were always the same - you're just too young.

Frustrated, Hannah accepted a position with a family owned tourism business in Longreach and spent the next two years giving tourists a little taste of outback life. It was in the 'Welcome Home' Cafe that she was managing that she met her next boss. They got chatting and Hannah expressed her dream of working as a stock and station agent. He was drawn to her passion for agriculture and determination to become an agent and after several meetings, gave her a position in the Landmark Longreach/Blackall/Winton branch. Hannah poured all her passion and determination into the opportunity she was finally given - to sell livestock.

Hannah completed a full real estate and chattel auctioneers course in order to obtain her relevant licences before joining the Rural Property & Livestock (RPL) team in 2019. She now works alongside Wally Cooper and his team selling both livestock and real estate. RPL (although based in Longreach) essentially has no boundaries, having sold livestock and property in almost every state. Hannah loves the freedom that comes with her work and believes through building relationships with buyers, sellers and businesses Australia wide, she can offer better service to her clients and have a broadened understanding of markets and trends throughout the country.

Hannah believes "You must always stay relevant and up to date with technology or you will be left behind and I therefore use Cattlesales.com.au as a platform to advertise livestock and reach potential buyers that would otherwise be unaware of what is on offer."

Hannah can be contacted on 0400 977 283 and follow RPL Livestock on Facebook here.
