2018 YBPF - 'STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE'

The annual Young Beef Producers' Forum (YBPF) is a two day conference held in Roma and this year is set down for 15 and 16 November. YBPF aims to provide educational, capacity building and networking opportunities for under 40 year olds with an interest in the beef industry.

Every year YBPF aims to attract the most influential and determined individuals the Australia agricultural industry has to offer. Joy McClymont of Off the Track Training will MC the forum that again this year offers an inspirational array of industry speakers. Speakers include Dalene Wray of OBE Organic, recent CCA Rising Champion winner Emily Pullen, CEO of Jim's Jerky, and Bryce Camm of Camm Agriculture Group, also the recently appointed President of the Australian Lot Feeding Association. The program also presents Sam Marwood, founder of Cultivate Farms, and Robert Herrmann from Mecardo along with producers Prue and David Bonfield of Palgrove and Rick Ford from Hancock Agriculture from 'Fossil Downs' in northern WA.

Other YBPF speakers include Bec Beissel - Director and owner of Maranoa Beef, Owen and Brigid Price - "Hillyvale" Arcadia Valley, Tim Pryor - StockCo Australia, Michael Crowley – MLA, Michael Wellington - Bush Agribusiness, Georgie Aley - KPMG (and former chair of Future Farmers Network), Mark Westcott - The Strategic Evolution, Robert Wyld – Sapien Technology, Tony Koch – QRIDA, Bart Davidson – Maia Grazing, and Rabobank's Brad James and Angus Gidley-Baird.

The event also includes the annual forum property tour and this year it is to "Nardu" and "Glen Arden" north-east of Roma owned by John and Angela Frith.

The inaugural TopX YBPF Dinner and Auction is set down for the Thursday night with various auction items on offer donated to raise funds for mental health and youth personal development. The dinner features guest speakers The Trademutt Duo.
